The Ironmate spun some more of her magic in coming up with a few more logo ideas or even options. So feedback is welcome and even requested so that we can get a design based on hobey's original that also retains the triathlon flair.

In truth, she's struggling to add in a traditional swimmer, biker, runner, because it just clutters the logo, and if you picture a hat or visor, with so much going on, the logo loses its punch with information overload, if you will. Inserting swimmer, biker, runner takes away the crispness. So the challenge is to keep it in there. But remember, we don't need the extras, mainly because in Transition, there aren't many sports where you can get Lost in Transition.

Personally, I like the original version (the one with just one figure), or even the same image but without the figure. Or I like the last one displayed below (lit_v3). Or I like the lit_v2.3 but with an edit of the runner dude a little more closer to biker dude.

Original:

Option v2-4:

Option v2-3:

Option v2-1:

Option v3:

I like v. 2-3 (can't see v3, though).

But, I wish the runner dudette had legs (I like the legged dudettes from the other views). I really like how the bike wheel is the "IN" word.
---

Ok....
I like the last one the best, cause there's more motion in the image.
What if the biker dudette were going "down" the hill of the slope?

So....
My "Final Answer":
Version 3 as my fav,
with v. 2-3 as a close 2nd.

All look great but I think the addition of three figures will clutter any logo we put on a tattoo or hat. We need one cohesive drawing that will pop.

I agree with Thor. I really like the original and I like it without the figure since the curved lines give it a little bit of motion while still keeping it a bit abstract.

While I know that most of us are triathletes, I want the logo to also encompass our duathletes and paddlers so I hesitate to explicitly draw out swim/bike/run.

So my choice is the original without the figure or V3 without the S/B/R figures.

Seriously - I kind of like original dude. I feel his pain.

The problem I have with the original is there isn't anything that, in my opinion, really ties it to triathlon. Yes, the word transition means something to triathlete's, but anyone else looking at it will go 'huh?'

Not a huge fan of v2-3 because without the legs, can't really tell what activity the dude (or dudette) is doing.

I like V2-4 best, but maybe I like things spelled out too much. Is it supposed to be an inside joke?

I guess my second choice, if we want to go generic, is the original without the figure on top.

Maybe the firgure should have on swim goggles, a bike helmet and running shoes all at the same time?

Oh, that would be COMPLETELY reworking it, sorry. I wouldn't want anyone to ask ME to do it either.

Never mind.

I love the bike in v2-4 and v3, also love the swimmer in v2-3, but in the end I guess I agree with hobey that we should be as generic as possible. That would be either the original without the figure or maybe v3 with just the bike, like this:

v2-3

Can Ironmate give runner dude a leg by making it the "s" in the word "transition"? I think the logo should encompass all three sports because if just one sport is shown, there is no idea of transition, and if two sports is shown to encompass duathletes, ie. run-bike-run, then what about those that do more? or those duathletes that do run-swim-run or any other combination?

Thanks Ironmate for putting this together ... we feel your love ... Thor is a lucky man ...

For something like a hat or visor, something simpler is better.

Perhaps if this ever got in the realm of tech tees or similar where there's more room, a larger-sized logo would be appropriate.

BTW, excellent work on these logos from the ironmate - you're a lucky man, Thor

Great work Heather

Have we decided who is going to get charged for all Heathers professional time???

My preference is for original or V3 either with or without the figures

Great job again

What would happen if you took this version, and moved the Lost In and the dude all to the left, so the long curved line passes through the dude, the In is the back wheel of the bike, and the dude could be biking, running, or skiing down a hill, or swimming down a wave depending how you looked at it? Maybe take away the front wheel of the bike, too. I agree with those that said you only want one "dude", but I also think you don't want said dude to be clearly doing one specific sport, or even all three tri disciplines. (But I could be biased!).

Forgot to say thankyou to Heather - they all look awesome!

Another thought - take v2-3, but just use the middle dude, and give it a back arm (maybe a bent arm?), so could be pumping arms running, or swimming, or biking.

Or give the dude in Neil's post a back arm! Thanks, Neil.

I think moving it all left would make it more abstract though - not so specifically a triathlon dude - you could kind of decide for yourself what the dude was doing.
