1. Why do you run?

I originally started to run to lose weight and become hot and sexy. That achieved I've changed my targets

For me running is the reason to get through the day, it's the reward at the end and the reason for doing anything, it's the adrenaline I go looking for. Of course the same applies to my hiking but I can run more than once a week! (When I'm not injured).

The mountains are the reason for living, standing on the summit you can look out and everything makes sense. There is nothing to worry about, nothing else you should be doing. I like that.

2. What is your greatest accomplishment?

There are too many to count, each time I do something I'm proud of I usually end up topping it soon after.

Here are a few:
Running my 3.9 mile loop without walking for the first time
Finishing my first race (a half)
Climbing to the summit of Jebel Toubkal (4067m)
Winning 4th under 30 male in a half marathon in the Outer Hebrides
Completing the NY marathon despite a knee injury and having to walk the last 10 miles.
Doing the UK 3 Peaks Challenge in 21 hours 37 minutes (climbing the highest mountain in england, scotland and wales in including driving time)

Finishing the Ring of Steall walk in under 8 hours.
Finishing the Welsh 3000s Challenge in 18 hours 57 minutes (15 mountains over 3000 foot.

Most of these are in my blog.

3. What is your motto/theme song?

I don't know, it varies depending on the day although it would almost certainly be something by Runrig. I do recite this poem a lot when I'm racing:
