Snowing again here. Should easily put us over the top for the snowiest December in recorded weather history for Boston. I'm thinkin' trainer or pool for tomorrow. Of course, if I were Iron Boy, I'd be ought dodging the plows at dawn. Fookin' nut.

You heading out in the snow?

I went out in the rain today./...
I saw your recommendation to someone else....."get out there....it'll be fun."
It was.

Although, it was cold, and I got the "blood rushing back to your thighs and they get all itchy" thing....sorta wierd.

I managed to pick it up at the end, to what felt SUPER fast....does that mean my whole pace overall should have been faster?

YES. Will dodge a few plows for an easy romp that will total, maybe, 30 minutes, then I'll head home and jump on the Trainer for an easy session to help stretch the legs further from yesterday's long run. All to get me in better shape to start next Monday in full on my journey toward Lake Placid.

And yes, snow sucks. Too much of it. Not that I mind, but I do mind when the winter, or what we here in New England consider official, hasn't even begun yet.

I was in Vail the past several days. It snowed about every day and was very cold the entire time. I did get in about 20 miles of running while I was there, but the snowy roads, the cold, and the elevation made for fairly slow running.

If you lived nearby I'd take my two hands, gather as much snow as would fit between them, scrunch the snow together nice and tight, and then I would spit several times on my balled creation until it iced solid, and then I pelt you with it my iced-over snowball.

Or I'd wrestle you to the ground and stick your head in the snow.

Yup. That's what I would do.

And then I'd stand before you and dance like this:

Ummm...you'll have to get through me first. I have to protect Kyle from northern agression.

Here I can tell the season is turning because it's finally below 60 when I drive home from work at night... just enough cooler that my car nags me to put a little more air in the tires.

Frankly, I'm kind of excited for the change... makes for great running weather.

I agreed - only snowed like twice here last year. I want to measure it in FEET not inches. (15 years out of the south and the novelty still hasn't worn off)

This post had me concerned for a bit...that maybe I had missed the first snow of this winter. I am happy to see that is not the case and that this is an old post revived. Whew!

That said...I will become one with the snow, I will become one with the snow...
