What lenses should I be asking for for x-mas?

I tend to take more outdoor shots but will obviously use the camera for holidays, b-days, etc.

Those lenses should be fine for now. Learn the uses\characteristics of both of them by playing around. You actually have a greater focal length range then I do, and probably more then a lot of other photographers. I have an 18-55 and a 70-210. I have an older 55-200, but I purchased the 70-210 because it has better optics and is "faster" (max aperture of f/2.8, as opposed to f/5.6).
