Unfortunately that is literally. I missed you guys so much... Glad I got all my buddies back now.

Yesterday was a rush for sure. Got to Coach's house and hopped on the TM right away. 0.75 warmup at 8 pace (all recovery paces were at 8:00), 6% incline at 6:49 pace for a quarter mile x4 w/ .25 mile recoveries. Last recovery was 1.5 miles so a total of 4 with 1 mile at fast, hilly pace. Was a tough workout but I was definitely not going anaerobic...by the end of the recoveries I was sore and roasting in the room, but breathing was good.

My Stratuses came! Today's run will be my feet and legs early Xmas present. Hoping for 8 after my HALF day! Woot....and 1st hour is a Guitar Hero party in Spanish class.

Happy Christmas weekend!!!!!

Good morning Alex. We have about 6 or so inches of snow on the ground and it is still lightly snowing. Enjoy guitar hero Alex. No running for me today, but will be back at it tomorrow. I think I will do six miles. Eventually I will have to add another day of running to the mix as I only do 4 as of now. I am going to bump up the mileage next year and add the extra day to see how it helps my racing. Have a great morning.

Good morning all.

Alex - Enjoy your last day of school for the year.

Dan - How are you feeling?

kfuller - Enjoy your rest day.

This morning I went for 4.25 miles running. With a two mile tempo run in the middle at a 7:20 pace. Slowly working the speed back in the mix.

Then I set out for a bike ride. 20.3 miles in 1:12:57 (avg 16.7 MPH).

Happy training all.

Enjoy the break Alex, and the run later Kfuller.

Dave, nice work, glad your knee's holding up.

Went for a nice easy run through the park last night. Probably about six, but I didn't bring any gear with me, so I don't know for sure. It was already dark out, so nice and quiet and uneventful except for the deer I ran past. Kind of fun to run without any stuff to monitor.

Hi everyone! Rest day here too. Too bad as it's looking a lot like it will start snowing here in MN and I think it would be fun to run with some white stuff coming down.

Alex -- just a few more hours and you're on break. This instructor's loving it 4 days in. When does your spring season start?

Dan -- how are things on the island?

Dave -- nice reverse brick! I bet you feel good with that accomplishment today.

Happy Friday and good running to all!

Hey Dave, Feeling better. Still not ready to run but I think the prednizone is kicking in some. Still tightness but less pain. Woke up similarly yesterday and by mid day I was in pain again but today feels different. Probably still a good week away from any test. Now just hoping to get started by the first and be able to train for Tacoma in May. We'll see. Guess I'll settle for just getting started!

Sister - Island's gearing up for Christmas. Had the big tree lighting last week. We're in a rain cycle right now so mucho wet.

Dan - I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better. I hope the medicine really helps.

Me - I'm resting today. As before Teh Great CR-KR shutdown, I'll more than likely pick one place in which to regularly post to the daily thread. Today I'm cross posting.

vashondan - heal up soon

Alex - I would suggest taking a running vacation during vacation - Eat a gazillion of your mom's cookies and put on 15-20 pounds (Only 70 days to Point Bock challenge)

I continue to feel pretty strong on hard days and like I need the recovery on recovery days - I think I am going to like this H/E training day cycle.

14 miles with 4 x (7 minutes hard / 3 minutes easy) - In 3 weeks my hard pace has decrease 27 seconds per mile - Now I am only 50-55 seconds slower per mile than before being injured.

I may just be ready for Mr. Alex by Point Bock after all

Good running to all -

Fishbowl for me this morning. Was supposed to be 2000, but since I can't keep track of laps, I know I went over. Watched a bunch of Ian Thorpe clips so I can work on my form. 55:47. Yah, still slow....

I forgot a bunch of stuff this morning. No tape for my foot. No gel for my HRM. And no garmin! Went with it anyway. Ran it way too hard. I needed it though. 3.6m, 30:15, 8:24pace.

Tomorrow we were planning on heading up to my hometown for Christmas. Take Grandma out for lunch, then head over to the nursing home to spend time with Grandpa. Talked to my aunt last night. Grandpa is not doing well at all. Often unresponsive. Grandma knows the end is near. Then, this morning, I learned that Grandpa is back in the hospital...

Happy Friday everyone,

I'm still dual-posting as well, will try not to repeat everything for the benefit of those at CR.

Tentative plan today is to do another 45-minute spin session. But I may have a work meeting conflict, so we'll see if that holds up. If not, there's always the trusty Nordic Track at home.

Alex - glad to see you're excited about winter break.

Phill - good job on the swim. So sorry to hear you had to stay behind.

4boysmom - nice swim as well. We expect you'll start swimming like the Thorpedo now.

Flounder - sounds like you're almost all the way back.

Billy/Dan/SGH - enjoy the rest day

Megs - nothing like "welcome home, now get to work!"

That's all from me for now. I'll check back later if time allows.

Thought I'd better join the double poster crew... don't want to get left out in the cold. Shooting for 7 on the track after work. This week has been a bust, mileage wise. Oh well.

Happy swimming, biking, running, shoveling, resting and Guitar Heroing (I heard a rumor that Alex is really trying out for a Mariachi band).
