Managed to make it through cross season without hurting myself or breaking anything too expensive, so a success by my low standards. Started the weekend off thursday with running a 5 mi turkey trot in 32 something on zero training which left me sore for the rest of the month. Coming into the finish, I kicked so hard this guys nose fell off

we decided to make it a family weekedn with a trip to mississaga, ontario. This is an old indian word that means "once pristine forest paved over 10 lanes wide with dognut shops" we played around the pool until late morning and headed out. I was about 35, no snow and the park was pretty muddy and almost submerged in parts. Kind of a neat place to race, right in the middle of the city with trollies rumbling by and all.

rode a pretty average race, moved up mostly by people dropping out, breaking stuff and crashing. I rode slowly enough to not do any of these.

Congrats finishing another season unharmed. Sounds like another fun weekend for the family.

An interesting color (vintage?) bike, even without mud.

It always amazes me how congested the 400/401 area is. Plus the fact the gas stations/fast food joints are way far between (unlike in US), makes things hard time to time.

Does indeed look cold, just like where I'm at. Thanks for sharing, Jr. Love seeing your picturs. And nice job on kicking the other guy's nose off in the 5 miler. 32 minutes is fast for no training. All of that bike fitness really carries far. Which is interesting because it never carries far the other way!
