Cool! I may get to see him while waiting for BrewDad.

Wow, his third marathon ever is Boston, and he qualified. That man is in outstanding shape.

I love Lance.

I feel so proud to have raced him
I lost big time... finished the NYC Marathon about one hour and half behind him... but it was a good fight, I kept my hopes up till the end

He obviously didn't see my name on the entrants list. We'll see if he actually shows.

Actually, my goal is to beat his 2006 NYC marathon time. There's no way I can touch his most recent time.

Hmm, one of the Boston predictors gives an estimated 2:45:33 finishing time based on his 2:46:43 finishing time at NY. That's close to my 2009 goal of 2:45, but that's a bit aggressive for this year.

Still, if I'm anywhere near him when I go by the Citgo sign, he's going down as long as his media entourage stays outta my way.

I don't know if I could keep up with either of them, but right now the way the honeymoon plans are shaping up, I will be back on a Sunday with the Boston Marathon only a few short hours later. If I got BrewDad or PlatzMan to chase, we might be able to work together to pull Lance to the ground (and ask him for cycling tips).

I'm not holding my breath, but I may register just in case

Fookin' superhuman nut! Take that jet lag...

Though I imagine an easy 26.2 might be the perfect antidote.

Exactly. I wouldn't race it. Not with me doing London a week earlier. But hey, even with jet lag, as long as I have the energy, it's much easier when you're not going hard AND have so many people to run with.

Ask LRR about Boston '07. We ran together the whole way. The miles went very, very quickly. I don't think it was until mile 23 when the conversation started trailing off. Up to Heartbreak (mile 20) flew by. By the time we hit the finish line, I was wishing we had more time left -- it was that much fun!

The trick, though, is to submerse yourself in the moment. That's something that can be tough for many.

so if he is not running straight, does that mean he did an ultra that day?

Thor Jet lag is always easier going towards the west - To make it more difficult you should fly from London Via Asia first Go the long way round - at least that way Lance would have a chance
