just curious. i was given a GC as a present and the menu looks rather.. extravagant. i've been only a few times and while highly enjoyable, i'm completely lost beyond the mani/pedi/facial/massage. a vichy rain shower? hydrotherapy? ayurvedic indian scalp massage? body wraps? body exfoliation? wow.

what do you like?

eta: men, if you go, feel free to chime in as well!

Manicures, pedicures, and waxing regularly, and the occasional facial and massage. I have never done any of the fancy stuff. Although the facials I get are Ayurvedic facials, and as far as I can tell, that just means they use a special kind of essential oil with you and do maybe a bit more facial massage-y type stuff. It's perhaps a bit more soothing than a regular facial.

There's something about the place I go for most spa stuff. . .this is going to sound kind of weird. . .but they way they touch with massage is just very loving. Not inappropriate or creepy. It feels different to me than other places.

I LOVE a good massage. I'd probably skip the fancier stuff and use the GC for more than one massage...

I can't do massage unless it's DT.

My spa is great....
that's my foo foo hair lady!
If you get there at the right time of day.....say, when they're OPEN....they'll give you wine while they cut your hair.

Facials are a new indulgence of mine.......every once in awhile.
Manis are a waste of time on my hands...
Pedis last a little longer, but I always forget to take flip flops so I don't get them all the time.

Mr. DC has the same problem. (but he's also very, very colorblind, so if I didn't pick out his clothes, he'd look really, really, really bad.)
