Happy Labor Day!
Cool here in NC. Runnin weather.. yipee!
Did a combo GA/LT/VO2max/Hill Repeat run cause it felt like runnin weather and the legs felt fresh..

Ran a 2.2 mile loop x 4 with the elevation profile below. Really attacked the hills so it was like VO2max at the crests then a nice fast pace down.. repeat... I felt very happy with this one (same pace and HR as I had in March!). 9.0 miles in 1:12:17 (8:01 pace).

Craig, any photos of your run with Busiman? Perch, nice looking moguls. You are really running well.

5 slow miles for me this morning followed by ab work. Like Kimmer, I'm also sweating out a little poison from last night.

I just got back from a local Labor Day 5K race for women. I thought it would provide a good baseline for me in terms of my post-injury training. I'll post a race report a little later. I'll just say that I'm happy with the result of 29:21, which I think is a PR for me. (Not very good at the record-keeping until the past year or so, and it's been a couple years since I ran my last 5K). I had fun, too.

Perch, awesome run! You are running well these days.

Congrats! That's an excellent time and you made your goal with minutes to spare!

I did a 10K race today - 49:27 by my watch. Couple of big hills - temp in the 70's and 100% sunshine. Was happy to get under 50 today. The older I get the faster I used to be. Ran with jensparks for the first mile or so, but then she took off and slowly disappeared into the distance. She looked great.

Same race as Arrojo, 48:15 (7:46). Thanks for that first mile!

After running 30+ miles Fri-Sun, I'm really happy with doing as well as I did today. My best time on the course in the 3 years I've run it.

runningbh - good job on your race.

looks like you all had good runs today. wtg

I ran 10 this morning at 7:50 pace but goal was 8:45's. Cooler and sprinkles to start. Looked like bad rain coming so I took my phone to call if needed. 3/4 mile from finish it really came down and RUINED my phone

An easy 4 miles today. I took about 4 days off last week, and have been feeling surprisingly peppy this weekend.

8 miles first thing this morning. It was still too humid for my taste, but other than that a great way to start the day.

I discovered that having a wet post-swim Golden retreiver run up to greet you and shake off isn't a bad way to get a little coolness on a run.

Just ran another mile with DD. She has a one-mile run in gym on Wed. and wanted me to run a time trial with her. She starts out way too fast, so I explained about never going out too fast. Then after a bit, she starts walking She says "are we halfway yet"? and I say, "yeah this is probably about halfway", and she takes off! She finished with a huge PR - 8:49! Talk about a negative split.
