I'm not really sure how many of the 'moderators' are even here any longer or who can see this post - if you can, please reply accordingly.

Over the last couple of months, I've been struggling with what to do with kickrunners.com. Should I just give up? Should I let it die a slow death? After spending some time talking with Walter Thompson - our Huddler 'coach' (he's on here as KRLurker), I've gotten a fresh breath.

I simply can't give up on this site. Now, I can feel defeated by looking at the traffic - and think this site has nothing to offer - OR I can choose to take this opportunity to focus on value content and build a real running site. I know the PRT isn't as active as it once was - and that is attributable to a lot of reasons - some of which, past events - but also - a fundamental change of communication in social networks (Facebook).

Facebook can offer the ability to stay in touch and post snippets, but it can't offer quality running content and build a community that brings more value than just the 'back and forth' bantering in the PRT.

Think about what first brought you to kicksports, or coolrunning? It wasn't a place to banter; rather, a place to learn about running. Slowly people spent time in the Clubhouse and PRT, but the site drew people because of running.

You should be seeing a fundamental change and focus here at kickrunners. Check out the front page - I update it daily with running related material - most of it already on our site - I simply am bringing light to it.

Kickrunners is also on twitter now. We only have 37 followers but hey, it's a start! There, I post updates daily and point them to running content here.

Facebook Connection is another way. If you post in any running content threads or forums, using the facebook connect will help us build this part of our site. Not so much the PRT posts - but the running exercise areas.

I'm not giving up on this site and I believe we have a great product to offer the running community. If we stay focused and work together, I believe we can see a resurgence with Kickrunners.com

Can I count on you to help?
