<p>Although it's meaningless pre-season, at least I was able to watch football on TV last night.</p>

<p>In Southern pigskin action:</p>

<p>New Orleans defeated San Francisco 24-3. Why the Saints permitted the 49er kicker to kick that 59 yard field goal I have no idea.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Atlanta lost to Miami after leading 17-0. In all fairness to the Falcons they did remove their first string pretty early in the game.</p>

<p>Tampa Bay won their exhibition game handily over KC 25-0. Wasn't even close.</p>

<p>Carolina plays NYG tonight at 8:00pm. </p>
