I need drills that help incorporate kicking into the stroke. I already do straight kick drills so I don't want those.

My problem is my kick is weak and slow. Any ideas.

Kick more.

Seriously.

I have a friend who completely sux at kicking. She nearly went backward when kicking.
She kept at it, though....would switch to fins when she got too far behind.
She's getting better.....
but, it's taken a year or more of consistent practice at it.

I'm not sure I see much benefit in spending time on kicking drills for most triathletes. Unless you have unlimited time, I think most people are better off working on stroke drills or just swimming. Kicking provides little propulsion although there is some benefit to body position.

I'm not saying kick drills are worthless, I'm just saying they aren't as worthwhile as other things you might be doing.

Like Mel said, kick on your side. I like to do 10 kicks on one side, then stroke over to the other side and do 10 kicks on that side. I do most of my kicking with fins. Kicking on your side really helps you with stretching out your body and working on body position, etc... You don't need a very strong kick. Just kick enough to keep your feet from sinking. Your core is what propels you, not your kick. If you kick too much, then your legs are tired.
