Them's the rules. Post one flower. Just one in the shot... you can post as many pictures as you want.

This was hard. I have lots of flower photos but few where there is just one blossom. Here is a recent one. Would you leave it off-center or would you crop?

I think, sometimes, that some things lend themselves to be smack dab in the middle. The rule of thirds doesn't always need to be followed.

I think it's just fine in the middle.

I love that daisy!

Grizz, I've been meaning to ask what sort of flower that is. It looks like a peony to me.

Okay so this one has some focus issues, but it actually works to its advantage as I get dizzy looking into the center of this one.

FWIW - there are some gorgeous pics in this thread; there's a lot to like with every one of your posts

Here's one I caught at KLCC Park in Kuala Lumpur near the Petronas Towers. I was out on a run that day and a T-storm had just passed by, so it was incredibly humid. I went to stretch in a shaded area near the convention center entrance and noticed these flowers hanging from overhead, so I got a photo or two.

You'd have to sacrifice one for the other... even with a more expensive camera.

Did you take it that way, or post process it?

No, I took it that way. The only post-processing was a crop. I tend to be a minimalist in post-processing. IIRC this was pretty much straight up, although on a few B&W I have played with contrast.
