Now that we are getting so close to the "official" move to the new site, I just wanted to offer up a reminder to everyone.

With all the new bells, whistles and buttons over there, its going to be real tempting for people to push them all to see what they are.

I am expecting to see lots of threads reported by people just checking things out. Thats easy though. I can go in and delete those posts in the planning room and either rich or I can do a sticky if needed to explain it to everyone.

The biggest issue for US is, that we are VERY careful to not report someone in error or even a bigger issue, to infract someone in error. As we have found in our playing over there, When you do an infraction, that person gets an email about it. If WE make a mistake and that email goes, we are going to have some unhappy people, or at the very least, confused people.

The other issue about infractions is that there are TWO features there, a warning only and an actual infraction. Usually you will give a warning first, but realize that for it to go out as a WARNING, you MUST check the warning box. If you don't, it appears to be a much more serious issue to the user. We dont want that to happen.

Please be sure that you communicate with each other before reporting posts. Realize that THAT forum moderator is probably on top of the issue and dealing with it. So, dont jump too fast if you see something. Try and contact that mod first if they are online, and also check the planning room, for the thread that will be there on the issue. If you see a post in the planning room and a report has been made by the forum mod, then then its been handled and nothing more needs to be done.

I am sure that everyone will understand that its new to all of us too, but, the less it happens the better.

Just remember, that IF you use the infraction, remember to follow the guidelines that Rich has set out.

I think he has been pretty clear on them, but if you have ANY questions about any of them, please post them here so we can clarify. Its important that we all be on the same page. IF there is some sort of infraction, we should all be dealing with them the same way. Yes, we all have different styles, but as far as we can, lets be consistent in what and how we address issues.

Thank you all so much for your support, input and dedication! Its awesome to be part of such a great team! (with a pretty awesome leader too! )

And again, lets all have fun with this, after all, its ONLY a message board!
