Woa chances! That is a lot of mileage. What are you training for again? (Sorry, I have been so preoccupied lately.)

Low month for me again in July: 133 miles. But, 26 hrs of training with my biking and hiking included.

Races - 1 * 5k on July 4th. 19:03 / 3rd in AG

I'm wondering if I should add "chasing toddler miles" to my total or perhaps it's a separate category? A review of my log shows that I'm on a par with 2009 yet I'm behind in speedwork and long runs. Lots more 8-12 milers as I try to getr my body to get with the program..

Awesome total Chances! 2:59:59 is on your horizon come 10/10/10. Hopefuly I can ride your coat tails and knock a fe mins off my PR.

Great job Chances! You got me by 11 miles :) I had 311 with no days off and 4 or 5 doubles. Also a monthly PR for me. Couple of 4 mile races that were a bit disappointing, but I am not reading too much into summer races. My legs are holding up pretty well. More of the same planned for August, making sure the recovery days are easy and maybe taking a rest day or two, if needed.

That's a ton of training time, Dave.

Nice job jill, you still have plenty of time and all the xtraining is keeping your fitness level up there.

RA - nice job, toddler chasing definitely counts!

I probably doubled my June mileage, probably pushed over the 50 mile plateau for the month maybe even 75 miles.

UPDATE: My official totals are 54 miles for July, up from 38 in June and 32 in May. (And to think I did 50 in one day in April.) AWESOME!!!!!

chances- Well done on the 300+. What race is on the 10th? Boise? chicago? Louise's Michigan boys are running Chicago this fall. My BIL is shooting for 3:05 while Mark2 might go 2:50 and Dave might be looking at a 2:40.

Great job, everyone!

JIll and Mutt -- Yep, it's Chicago for me, most likely. But if RA can't host with some decent weather, I have no qualms about bagging Chi-town and opting for my hometown race the same day. (Thanks for the confidence, RA. We shall see. Tempo paces are nothing to write home about this time through. It's either age or the added mileage slowing me a bit.)

Mutt -- That's fantastic re the Michigan Marathon Boys. I'm sure RA and I will run into them in our corral. Good fellas, they are.

OK, here goes on my totals for July.

128.1 miles running from 25 runs (lower than expected, slight drop from June)

131.2 miles cycling from 8 rides (highest total in a long time, maybe ever)

12 miles running while playing soccer (3 matches)

8.7 miles walking from 5 walks

55 minutes weight/core training (2 workouts)

Since Dave reported total hours, that made me curious if I was anywhere close. I ended up at 36h, 21m total. Oh well. Dave, your reputation is safe.

Running will definitely pick up in August as training for New York City (11/7/10) begins in earnest.

chances- I increased my mileage by 40% in July over June and I get no "love" from you. If you don't think that is significant, why don't you tack on another 40% onto your 322 in August? 440 is a respectable distance for a runner of your caliber.

You are just begging to stay in my dog house, aren't you?!?!
