Here's my too precise by half answer.

My plan is to run 1500 miles in 2008. If you do all the math, that means I need to run 127.05 miles (don't want to forget those 264 feet!) in January.

I found a plan that ORRC put together for basebuilding. I'd like to do slightly more in the way of long runs. I put myself right in the middle of the beginning plan (approx. 30 miles a week). I'd like to think I could handle the intermediate plan but as much as I made huge progress this year, I'm just not there yet. A man's got to know his limitations. Anyway, that comes about to 140.11 planned (with a half marathon in place of one of the long runs).

Hoping to build a good base of long slow miles in January. My target is somewhere between 160-200 miles, depending on the snowpack.

Also to run between 70 and 80 miles. And to lost at least 10 lbs and maybe a dress size.

Yep, I need to lose that dress size too

Five weeks to my first marathon of a busy year - and I need to lose 10 pounds and get up to 100 miles this month as I set preparations

Happy New Year all

I was hoping for around 150 miles in January, but now I'm thinking 180 is a reasonable target. I did run 213 in December, but I need to step back a little. Certainly better than last January, when I had hernia surgery and only managed 50 miles.
