On this day in 1877, Crazy Horse and his ally Sitting Bull fought their last major battle with the U. S. Calvary.

Way To Go, LRR!! Remind us again what kind of dog M-Dawg is? THat may help us to determine which tongue was hanging further...

A bit over 10miles this morning. 2mile wu to the track. 5x1200 at 5:39 (7:33pace - my "T" pace) as the target with 1min recovery. The actual was 5:30/5:30/5:29/5:25/5:23, so it was more like 7:20~7:10ish pace. Felt easy at the beginning. But I knew it wolld get harder as the lactate build up with toward the end. Felt good throughout. Then a longer way home, 4+miles. The plan was 1hr after the interval, but I didn' want to go over 42miles this week (recovery week) and I am not 100% recovered from this cold.

LRR - keep on keeping on buddy! And the M-dog also!

Yoshiko - Solid workout! Gotta love it when interval workouts feel smooth and not forced. That really tells you your training is coming around nicely. And it has to be nice doing track workouts in January with no snow and without freezing your bupkus off!

Just another mid-distance base run for me today. 12 mi in 1:30. Got another 1 hr on the schedule for tonight which will give me 40 mi over the past two days and 85 for the week. Looks like next week is a recovery week.

30 min trial run. 3min run, 1min walk. Not real succesfull. Will back down again until Wed and then talk orthotic changes then. Boo. This run reminded me I am NOT allowed run in tights. They require surgical intervention to remove. Tat also hurts like hell when trying to remove the tights.

Later I led 2:10 Endurance Spin class. 40min w/up of Z2 and drills. Then 4x21min hill climb segments. Increasing tension 9x before making everyone want to die then a nice long recovery before we hit it again. Good stuff.

2.82 mile mix of run, walk. Hit the nearby Interurban trail both because the rare lack of trees on one side meant I'd get a little bit more sun (so rare!), and because the trail's finished blacktop isn't cambered like the roads. My knee is still a bit "dodgy" as a British friend would say. I figured avoiding cambered roads would be a good idea.
