Damn, Mandy - I hate the idea of losing running options cause of crap like that. Frack indeed...stay safe out there everyone!

My leg hurts this morning, just a bit, so I think I'm going to give it one more day before trying anything. So maybe just some weights and core tonight. Again.

Good runs and workouts of any kind to all!

Good Morning!

Sorry Mandy...that stinks, you would hope to be able to feel safe in the middle of the day, frack indeed. Hope you leg is okay Noni.

6am 4pm on the schedule today. I was thinking of doing yesterday's long run I missed instead, but I think I'll just stick with the recovery runs. I'm beginining to enjoy the doubles a little more. It just makes me feel like I'm always showering...I have a lot of hair, it's time consuming.

Happy crosstraining/running today, everyone!

I'm with Mandy, I'm totally bummed that I won't be able to run today. It was so nice this a.m.! I'm going to try and at least get a walk in during lunch.

Jen- congrats on your race. I know you aren't happy with your effort, but neither that nor the fact that it was a small race takes away from your 2nd place finish.

Myron and Timr1- I'm planning on Athens myself, can't wait to meet you both.

Dang - you posted that at 7:30...that is a seriously long shower!! You must be a dirty girl.

As the other Ohioans have stated, it's nice and warm today...planning on getting out for a nooner (sad that I'm almost as excited to run at lunch as I would be if I had an actual "nooner" scheduled).

I'm looking forward to Disney this weekend, and also getting a better idea of what the schedule will be for pacing this year. I want to get my spring figgered out and get signed up - my IDEAL would be to race either a 10 miler in Louisville or a half on the last weekend of March (near home), pace 3:15 @ Athens the following weekend, perhaps race the Columbus Half the weekend after that, and then head off to Boston. I doubt I would be able to do ALL those races, but I'd be tickled to do the first two plus Boston.

Morning Peeps,

The temps are balmy here but my ankle is still purple. I'm cross training with "My kids are back at school! I've got two weeks of laundry!" Laundry. Busy day! sorta...

Mandy: on the bright side...they know where he likes to strike and they should be able to catch him soon. Take extra care of you.

(((Noni's leg)))

Good runs to all.

morning!

Off day from running... woke up this morning thinking that's probably not a bad idea. 35 miles last week = most since Philly. However, I did some core and weights stuff before work this morning, and I'll probably get to the gym later for some more... gotta get those VRAA points!

mandy - that sucks. be safe.
winter - take care of that ankle
keriksen - re: no sleep - you and me both.

HI Ya'll. 1st day back at work after the Holidays. 8M this morning after a grueling 16M LR Saturday. Legs were still slightly sore and my Garmin died in the 1st mile (freaked out on low batt). Also fairly balmy down here too (55 deg was the low, mid-70s today)

Missed you guys.

Hey all:

Got 2 nice trail runs over the weekend, neither really long, but I wanted to start testing out the shin on some uneven surfaces. I felt it on the steep downhills and the ice, but otherwise felt really good. Last week was 50 miles, all EZ pace. Today 6-8 of the same juice. I think one more week of this and I'll finally be ready to roll on a spring training plan. Fingers crossed.

Welcome back Kris.

Mandy be safe out there. that does definitely stink.

going to take advantage of the nice weather (55 at 6am) and run at the local h.s. track after work. It's a great track - tore out the old and put in an entirely new facility this summer! Love it!

Trying to do pilates in the a.m. before work but my body is just not warmed up enough. Guess I'll have to switch back to doing it in the evenings during the week.

Stay safe roo!

Norah, don't rush things. Take it easy.

Jen, I'd think doubles would be hard. What mileage do you do each time?

Thanks, Becca, for the explanation. (I guess they couldn't call it TIT, huh?)

Kris, I had one of those nights last night too. I woke up at 8:30.

Tom, 50 miles is an easy week, egh? You are a running machine!
