Happy new year!!!!

Visiting the in-laws on the west side of Michigan. Love running here by the lake, especially under the blue sky. Well today, nasty rain/snow coming sideways from the lake, hitting my face hard. Still enjoyed 6miles.

Got to stay away from the kitchen counter....

Enjoy the day!

Happy New Year!

Race today. Decent effort, but couldn't seem to get up to speed today. Not that it mattered as my AG winner smashed the old AG course record by almost 4 minutes and was 7th OA. Freak of nature! It was still fun to get out there with hundreds of people. Vicki & Donnie ran the 5K.

Cool/upper 20s - Sunny and windy. Rescue Run 10K. Hilly course on roads and trails in Palmer Park. An accident on one of the roads caused a last minute detour that added a bit of distance to the race. Didn't feel I had any speed today, but still a decent effort.

Happy New Year, tri-peeps!

10K run at the Ready, Set, 1st Run in Lowell went well. Managed to run into MuffinQueen at the end!

Was a two loop course. Did ~0.8 mi easy warm-up. Planned to do the first loop slower & the second loop faster and did so. Wasn't supposed to be racing, but do remember Coach saying something about starting slow & finishing faster. Finished in 1:02:26. This is a 10K PR by 33 sec (previously set in 2005). It's also a course PR by 3:54 (set in 2011) done at a HR avg 2 bpm lower than previously done. Knew at 4 mi that I wouldn't make sub-60 min, but decided to gun for sub-62 min. JUST missed it, but considering my rest & nutrition over the past 2 weeks...I'll take it! I mean, really, a 3300y swim, a strength workout, & some champagne yesterday, not to mention all of the wine & sugar I've had over the past 2 weeks... EEEEK! LOL! Weight still maintained the last time I checked (Fri or so).

Then, headed out to see AdCo & MoCo in the late afternoon. Great company, good times!

Got back on the bike for the first time in a while...did just under 21 miles with one of my best friends. Kept a pretty easy pace and just enjoyed ourselves! Happy new year everyone!
