Met a small group for a run this morning. 8 miles along the bayfront farther and faster than I should have run. No wind today which is very unusual. It's overcast and muggy. Yard needs some attention today after being gone a week. Must do that this morning after the neighbors are up and moving. :)

Have memorial service to attend this afternoon. DW's aunt passed away while we were gone. Her health was as bad as anyone I know so we were not surprised really.

Rip is racing this weekend? Who else? I know some long runs are planned.

One of our newer running ladies this morning told us she is getting married in Oct. in Scotland and then they and some of our other friends are running the Loch Ness marathon in Ireland. Jealous.

Hi TW! Have fun on the trails tomorrow.

Hope Erika had a good one.

G/L to OM on the 10K tomorrow... that used to be one of my favourite distances too.

The weather here is drop dead gorgeous, finally! Started at 10°C this morning and is now up to 16°C, with the sun peaking in and out of clouds all day an no wind.

Perfect day for my final big run of the program...... going in repeated big circles through the mountain bike/hiking trails in my favourite forest tract. 22.37 very slow miles and I finished sore, but feeling like I could have done more! It was a big confidence booster for me and the first thing I did after getting my shower and stretching when I got home was to officially register for the Sulfur Springs 50K at the end of the month.

Hi Erika! Nice progression run! Thankfully there's no cap on that 50K event, so I could wait... only tech shirts to the first 700 to sign up for any one of the 10K, 25K, 50K, 50 mile and 100 mile races. Got the shirt, but missed the early bird discount!
