Met a small group for a run this morning. 8 miles along the bayfront farther and faster than I should have run. No wind today which is very unusual. It's overcast and muggy. Yard needs some attention today after being gone a week. Must do that this morning after the neighbors are up and moving. :)

Have memorial service to attend this afternoon. DW's aunt passed away while we were gone. Her health was as bad as anyone I know so we were not surprised really.

Rip is racing this weekend? Who else? I know some long runs are planned.

One of our newer running ladies this morning told us she is getting married in Oct. in Scotland and then they and some of our other friends are running the Loch Ness marathon in Ireland. Jealous.

Hi KS, tomwhite. I'm racing this weekend (again!). A 10k tomorrow, my first. Did 4.25 this morning with MrOM, nice and easy 9:45 pace. He continued on to run but I had an early meeting with my relay group, so I had to get showered and go. Took him a while to get home afterward and I was almost starting to get concerned. Turns out he ended up doing 10 miles, his first time in double digits. I'm really so proud of him. Have I mentioned that he's lost over 75 pounds this past year? For a guy who's 6'2.5", 180 lbs almost looks too thin on him. But at least he's healthy now, that's all that matters.

Have a great weekend, everyone!
