woot to ailarie and RIL for mud runs!

yay to kp for the better-than-expected 25k.

high five to the rest of you for your workouts/runs.

i ran the super hero half marathon today and macmillan put me at 1:55 off the 5 mile race but the humidity got to me near the end and i finished in 1:56ish - still waiting on official times b/c my garmin crapped out. i ran mostly by effort and am pleased with the results. it was a lovely run through residential streets and about 2.5 miles through a bike path but man! i forgot how hard/painful racing 1/2s can be.. or maybe it was just the humidity/rain. heh. there were some awesome costumes out there as well so it was entertaining but i don't envy the chaffage!

my word for this race was "relentless" b/c i wanted to be relentless with my effort, and in general, relentless in my pursuit of getting back to pre-baby shape. i was very emotional after crossing the finish line - being able to race and run is something i never want to take for granted as i have in the past. as i was schlepping the last 0.6 miles to the finish line (the longest 0.6 miles i have EVAH run!), i envisioned my sweet baby's face and smile and chanted her name silently to myself.

again, thank you for ALL of your support and encouragement. its taken a lot of work and i couldn't have done it without you!
