Saturday:

Georgia Tech vs North Carolina at high noon; i will wear sunscreen to the game this week

Georgia State is at Houston trying to win their first ever Division 1 football game. Hope springs eternal, but sooner or later...

UGA visits Ole Miss.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

GT should cover the 6 1/2 pt spread over UNC but I'm not expecting GT to run over UNC as they did the first three teams of the season.

Georgia State is visiting Houston essentially for a payday. I thinkHouston is favored by 45 points or so.

UGA should have a cakewalk in Oxford Saturday as Vandy beat Ole Miss 37-0 next week.

And welcome Pitt and Syracuse to the ACC.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sunday:

Houston is at New Orleans; GEAUX SAINTS GEAUX!

Atlanta is at Tampa Bay; Should be a close game. Despite the fact he beat GT handily in his last collegiate game in Atlanta before going to the Falcons, Matt Ryan is by far my favorite Falcon and I always like to see him do well; he's been a consistent leader on the team. If I had to choose between Matt Ryan and Drew Brees insofar as my favorite NFL player, it would be a tough call. But since Brees plays for the Saints I would have to give him the nod.

Purdue has a bye week. Next week the Domer's come to Ross-Ade for a night game. This might get ugly and not in favor of my team.

Jags are at carolina, battle of rookie qb's. Carolina should win.

Hopefully I can see the Saints and Drew Brees play this weekend.

I have forgotten who the 'Fins gotta play this weekend.

GT/UNC was a draining experience this afternoon; By the stats we should have won by 14 or so. Instead our defense kept letting them back in and then redeeming themselves by taking care of business when they had to. But the game wasn't decided until the clock ran out.

GT 35 UNC 28; GT is 4-0 for the first time since 1990. And for the second week in a row for a noon time game I neglected to wear sunscreen. When will I learn?

UM/UGA wasn't really much of a game. UGA won pretty easily but seemed like they did not have their heart in it.

Georgia State/Houston is at 8:00pm tonight. All I'm hoping for there is more than 7 points for GSU as they did against Alabama. If not, there is always Tennessee to get ready to beat on next year.

I have to think that 56-0 against Houston (actually a pretty decent team this year) is not as good as scoring against Alabama.

My Boise State Broncos seemed to lose interest at the half tonight when they got up 34-0. Instead of piling it on they played second and third stringers. Poor old Tulsa is an OK team, but so far they have played Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Boise State in 3 of their first 4 games. That can't be much fun.

I think Alabama should be in the NFL. They look just too good for anyone in the NCAA.

Next week Purdue is my favourite team. Nothing would make me happier than to see them beat the Fighting Amish...I think that's a dream though.

Depends if the check they received from Houston was bigger than the check Alabama gave them last year.
I hope I can see that game next weekend. It will depend on the kid's soccer schedule.
