Hi KS!

After tossing and turning since 3:30 am, I think I have my problem with the course sorted out. Will lay out the alternate course and be ready to change up a couple of key turns at the last minute, if needed. Now if I can only get the rain to hold off!

5K this morning scoping out the "alternate" course.

Hi TW, ks, Heme, and others to follow,

3.5 M easy this morning. In enjoyed the 55F temp; my hands never did warm up.

I missed getting into Boston 2012 by 12 seconds. Not too disappointed, as next spring will be a busy one. Next fall I can try to qualify for 2014, when I move to the next AG.

Still working on a weight loss goal, this week.

Three miles yesterday at 10 minutes after a fair twenty minutes on elliptical. Eight today at 9 minute pace. I'm saving a little energy in the hopes that my youngest will want to go out for a mile this evening.

Ouch, FO that is just too close! Rip, I'm putting my money on the whole distance this time.

Howdy to TW, KS, Heme

Thanks Bob I'll definitely be watching for those flags when I am running uphill.

HI KS, TW, Heme, and FO

I decided to run today as I have my monthly massage therapy tomorrow. Ran in the next town over where I am working on a house. 1.75 miles out of town to the park where they have a big xc meet every year. Ran the 5k course twice and then back into town. It was the first time I ran there this year and the grass felt good to run on. My "trail" shoes, (since they are still covered with Michigan mud) felt a little worn down so I won't wear then on the roads anymore. I'm guessing 9.75 miles in 70 some minutes as I didn't time the run.

3 miles slow jog at noon and another 4 miles easy running this evening. The hamstring didn't hurt, but it was telling me when it was time to quit.

I think I dodged a bullet. . . . slow and easy for the rest of the week.

Bob - how much you trying to lose? I"ve been carrying around 10 extra since my last marathon. Might be the ice cream. May cool down in S. TX end of the week?
