Wow. I just tallied and input the points from this weekend into Hairy's nifty spreadsheet. Team D had a very productive week.<br><br>
I also wanted to give a grand ole' "YEE HAW!" to crazyfrog and triciwflower for being the absolutely most rocking Badass in Training ladies. They remain consistent and are both putting in a great effort. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Smile"><br><br>
pace2race is has logged 587 points and is leading the Super Badass way<br>
marathon princess has logged 444 points and is one touch chica<br>
joplus is barreling in with a cumulative total of 378 points<br>
dg1 pushes like a frreight train with 360 points<br>
Pie Jones proves that pie is powerful with 282 points<br>
hahaoya...wait, that's me...I'm providing refreshments with my 269 points<br>
runningINnyc is Ms. Tough Thang with 209 points<br>
BigGahoona with some powerful 161 points<br>
runinbehind powers on with 153 points<br>
triciaflower has barely skipped a beat with 98 points<br>
crazyfrog lights the way for us all with 60 points<br><br>
I am so proud of you all. Really, you've all put in so much this round and I'm very glad to have you all as a teammate.<br><br>

This thing has been great motivation for me. Today was my rest day but I still did my core stuff cause I thought the team could use the 4 extra points <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Very Happy"> If it werent; for this I would have skipped my abs, planks, and push ups routine today..so thanks guys!!!

What MP and triciaflower said. Never would have tried the bike on Sunday if it weren't for VRAA. Turned out to be great for my strained hamstring.

Does anyone have any races coming up this weekend or the next?<br><br>
What else is everyone training for? How is training progressing?<br><br>
To our Badass in Training folks, how is everything feeling?<br><br>
I have the Muddy Buddy on the 4th, but after that nothing until Thanksgiving Day, and I'm not sure this VRAA will be running.

I could have bagged it, but I slogged on for Team D!<br><br>

I've got a 20k trail race on the 21st and a 50k road race on the<br>
28th. I'll be lucky if the left hammie holds out. Right now it hurts...<br><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/BangHead.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="bandhead"> Love the new avatar!

I too feel motivated to get out there and Just Do It when I know that my teammates are doing the same. I wanna keep up my end of the deal!<br><br>
I have a 10 mile race on November 4 and the Philly Half on November 18th.<br><br>
I've been more able to participate this round of VRAA, I'm not moving and starting a new jobby job anymore. I'm settling in, getting into a groove, which includes a regular workout regime. Yeah!!<br><br>
Lifting weights tonight, spin class tomorrow, running Friday, long run on Sunday. Sneaking in a massage on Saturday, not worth any points but dammit I deserve it!

My next race is The Houston Marathon on Jan 13th but all my long runs until then are above 16 miles ..so I will be logging in soem decent pioints on weekends even if I am not racing...when does this end???

I'm really sick at the moment. I attempted a swim yesterday, but halfway through my first lap I had to stop for a coughing break and my ears hurt. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/sad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Sad"><br><br>
I haven't slept in four nights, and last night I coughed with such force and persistence that I started to gag and thought I was going to puke. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/sad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Sad"><br><br>
One more day and I'll have this cold licked, I know it.

After the dnf disaster in twin cities, I'm pretty much recovered and training for a marathon in mid-December. So I should be getting some decent mileage in soon.

Oh, wow...I just stumbled upon this thread. (Hope you're feeling better Haha).<br><br>
I'm trying to keep up my end of things you all. My mileage isn't very much, but I keep slogging away. I was having some trouble with my foot, which I thought was achilles. A visit to my podiatrist put those fears to rest, so I'm feeling much more like I can commit to more running and even a few races now.<br><br>
I'm registering for a 5K on the 10/28, a 3.5 mile on 11/4 and a 7 mile race on 11/17. Those are my plans.

I am feeling much better, thank you for that. I really got hit hard with this cold after my half on Sunday. I did get the dry heaves one day because I was coughing so badly.<br><br>
I'm going for a run very shortly and tomorrow I'm doing my first brick workout to gear up for Muddy Buddy. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Smile">

It's "trispeak". You work two disciplines during a workout, one after the other without rest just like you would in a race. Usually means bike/run. It can also be swim/bike. You hear how biking is good cross training to rest the muscles used in running? Try a hard bike followed by a fast run with no rest other than racking the bike. It just sucks!
