Today I went out and got the cho-pat strap and put it on before my 5 mile run. It was wonderful! My knee felt better than it has in months.

it's a single strap that goes above the knee. you kind of cinch it in place, and I guess placement can be tricky, but I got it in the right spot. It doesn't cure the ITBS, but prevents the friction that causes the pain symptom by the knee.

I tried one of the double strap types a few weeks ago but it didn't do anything.

I was just curious, since I've been using the single-strap one to help my Hinky Knee ?. It seems to help the kneecap track properly or something along those lines.

meri, that's how mine started. and the problem is still there; I need to go for more massage so they can work out some of the scar tissue. but in the mean time, if I can keep it from rubbing down by the knee, that helps!
