My last post alluded to the size of my support system for my training.

But, it's not all about me.....well................... no. It's not all about me.

The "Kicksters" that I've gotten to know over the years are a group of the most diverse people that I know.

Doctors

Lawyers

Teachers

Moms

Dads

Artists

Soldiers

And....well, I'd bet that there are as many professions, vocations, and avocations represented by this group as there are people in the group.

The only thing that Kick members have in common is running.

Sure, the MSForum is a group of people who are "multi-sporters."

But, many of those people also post in the PRT, or in the various other groups.

Regardless of the friendships and groups that we've formed over the years, we all have running in common....either as a primary or supporting sport for our own sanity protection, health protection, interest protection and beer protection!

The nice thing about this group is that we support one another.

Everyone has a bad workout...a bad run....bad days at work, bad days with the kids. Within the group, people find support. That support might be in the best way to get a vomit stain from a carpet, or it might be brainstorming why someone wilts in the heat. It doesn't matter. We support one another.

And, when one suffers a loss......we support that person too.

So, when "One of Ours" suffered a tragic loss, the group banded together to help in many ways. People from across the country have agreed to run or bike in races on significant days this year in honor of the beautiful life of this person. As a part of that, I contacted the bathing suit company, Splish, to see if they would assist me in getting a logo designed by "Another One of Ours" put onto a suit of theirs. Splish is known for making custom swim suits....the flashier the better! They returned the proof of the suit to me today, and it's fabulous. I'll be ordering one for myself, but would love to encourage anyone else who wants one to get one as well. I think they can even make one for the boyz!
