As the guy in charge of building and maintaining our company website, I can tell you that Internet Explorer (all versions) is a serious PITA!!! Things that work in all other browsers don't work in IE. Things that format properly in other browsers don't format properly in IE. Minor glitches or code errors that other browsers can "fix" on the fly cause massive errors in IE. The list goes on.

I think it goes both ways. Particularly if you publish from Office apps. Then, stuff appears correctly in IE and not elsewhere. I keep both IE and Firefox loaded, synch bookmarks using XMarks, and use whichever works for a given need.
