<div>At the core of every runner lies an inspiration, and whether it be the desire to lose weight, to get fit or to simply have fun, there is something motivating an individual to exert, push and propel themselves further than before.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>And sometimes, the inspiration is personal.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Meet Don Wright, a 70 year-old living with myeloma, who runs because it raises money for a good cause- it helps people who are living with cancer. Myeloma, also called multiple myeloma, is a cancer which affects the cells in bone marrow. Currently, there is no cure, but it can be managed long term.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Don started running marathons eight years ago, just as he was diagnosed with myeloma. As of this year, he has run 55 marathons in 37 states since his diagnosis.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>“Here I am living with cancer, and my biggest complaint is runner’s knee!” he says.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Don is running on behalf of the charity <a href="http://www.teamcontinuum.net" target="_blank">Team Continuum</a> which raises funds to help pay for immediate, non-medical expenses such as rent and utilities for cancer patients.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>“I’m running with cancer, not from cancer. because living with myeloma is a marathon, not a sprint!” says Don. “I’m lucky, I take just a pill a day, so I’m free to literally run around the country instead of being tied to a doctors’ office for traditional chemotherapy treatments, and I don’t have to deal with the side effects those treatments could bring.”</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Don hopes his determination to complete marathons in all 50 states will inspire others living with cancer. You can help him raise money by going to <a href="http://www.facebook.com/eRaceCancer" target="_blank">Don's E-RACE Cancer Facebook page</a> and “like” it. With each “like”, a third party donates $5 to Team Continuum.</div>
