zzz. Not fun: Being up at this hour when I'd like to go back to bed!
 
Fun: Knowing that I'm up means I won't go back to unpleasant dreams. Sort of a twisted win-win, I guess!

Morning peeps! 
 
Brrrr, is it cold here! Like, extra-blanket-on-the-bed cold. BUT, I finally shut my bedroom window last night. However, I am NOT turning on the heat yet. I'm trying to hold out until Dec. 1st! 
 
Not fun: working today. Customers have had giant sticks up their you-know-what's all week. GAH. If this is what I have to look forward to for holiday, I'm going to be pissed. <img alt="wink.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies//wink.gif"> 
 
Fun: After work, stopping by my friend Beth's store (Bath & Body Works) to apply for a part-time Christmas gig. Yeah, I know....refer back to above. However, she needs help merchandising after the store closes on Sunday nights, which is perfect for me. Any extra $$$ is good, right? 
 
More Fun: After *that* stop, headed over to another friends' house...she's getting married next weekend and it's sort of a "I'm too old for a bachelorette party so we're going to drink and eat and get the house ready for the wedding" thing. Should be fun! 
 
Ok. Muist quit dawdling and jump in the shower. Have a great weekend gang!

Mornin! Sorry to hear your sleep woes Ailarie. I actually slept in until 8, but my eyes are all kinds of irritated. My L eye is actually all puffy and swollen too. Awesome. (not). It must be from all the construction dust around here - the trim is halfway done. 
 
I too have to work today.

Funny, Mindy, my left eye is all kinds of itchy, irritated right now. But I think I've got a cat hair in it (since Miss Trixie has felt the need to walk over my head for my last hour of sleep, and even now...is sitting curled up in my lap, after nuzzling me for 10 mins before she laid down.)

She's in town for the Packers/Cowgirls game and we met up in Madison. I had an awesome time chatting and she says "hi" to all!

OH and ANN.... I think I'm picking out another cow this weekend, totally not kidding.

Maureen: I read your profile on FB and saw that you were picking up your sister's dog today. That's great! Did I know you had a sister? I don't think so. Or have we had this conversation before? Regardless, good luck with the new pooch!
 
Call me Lazybones. I slept from 11pm last night until 11am this morning. Goodness gracious did I need it. I actually fell asleep, only for a second, mind you, at DS#2's hockey game last night. I can't even fathom how I managed that. The arena was freezing, the game was hot, I was sitting completely upright without resting my back on anything and the man 3 people over had a farging horn going! The good news is: I feel completely rested and ready to take on the ....wor...well...the house. I'm ready to take on the house and the kids that live in it. The world can wait till Monday. 
 
Ann: Extra money is good. And helping out a friend is fine. Good for you!

When I opened the kiln and saw the first layer - and the exploded bean pot - I thought "whew, good thing I made 2!" And then I took the other bean pot out and flipped it over and there is pic #2. (As if the bottom wasn't bad enough, this pot also has a crack where the foot meets the pot pretty much all the way around.)

My aunt had requested a bean pot to give to my cousin for his wedding gift, which is in 6 days. I needed at least one of these to work. Looks like she'll have to pick out something else, because of course, every other pot in the kiln made it through the firing without issues. <img alt="" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/roll_eyes.gif" title=""> I know this is what happens when you rush the process, but darnit, sometimes you get lucky.

Rough start to the weekend. DS came home yesterday, packed his bags and left. He's only 15 and we have no idea where he is. I'm sure he'll surface eventually.

Torque- wow, I hope he at least makes a smart choice about where he stays. And that he comes talk to you and the missus soon, once he has had some space and time to think. I am sorry you are having to deal with this.

Thanks for the well wishes guys. I'm sure he needs this time to figure things out. He needs to have a reality check and hopefully reassess his sense of entitlement. The wife is very upset, and it is upsetting, but I know he'll be back..when? I'm not sure, he's very pig headed.

Glad you got some sleep, Winter. I once feel asleep watching a Cirque du Soleil performance in Las Vegas. It was loud and bright and, man, did I snooze. Alcohol wasn't even involved. I was just a tired chica.
Can't wait to see pictures of the finished project, RIL!
 
 
So, DD1 was the only girl at an adventure birthday party today. Apparently, she was also the only child who didn't cry. I'm so proud of my tough girl!

Fun: Doc told me Fri she thinks 36 weeks is long enough for me to work!! So that puts me at Thanksgiving week. I figure I cn do some actual lab work till then and since that is a short week anyway, just finish up paperwork and stuff like that. Excited to see the light at the end of the tunnel...even though I can no longer see my feet <img alt="" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="width:16px;height:16px;" title="">
 
Not Fun: I can.not.sleep. Was up till 6am (with the time change) moving from one room to another, trying to get comfy, trying to will myself to sleep. So now it is officially one week without a good nights sleep. And it's catching up to me. Ugh!!
 
Kath sorry about the pots. And I know I have asked you this a zillion times, but can you post your etsy site again? Want to get a pair of earrings for my BIL's gf for Christmas!!
