Howdy all,

Looks like NA made a change to the direction of the start of the run, rather than starting eastbound towards Scottsdale Road, you now start westbound towards Priest with the other parts unchanged. The direction towards the finish comes up from the transition area and you run east to finish. Slight change to the bike course near the transition to accomidate this.

Hope everyone's training is going well and strong!

http://www.ironmanarizona.com/bike.html
http://www.ironmanarizona.com/run.html

I think that is kind of sad - I liked coming over the bridge knowing the finish was right around the corner. Hmm....
maybe the finish chute will be longer now though. That was my one complaint last year - it was pretty short.

I think you'll be able to hit up the special needs when you come over Mill Ave bridge, wrap under the bridge to then run eastbound -- it's like 1.5 loops run.

I like that there was more motivation and love along the riverwalk coming back into the transition area, that has always been my recharge zone!

Ahhh, ok. I'm was thinking it would be in the exact same spot. I guess they could move it up the hill towards where ~mile 1 was. This is messing with my chi!! I wonder how it will feel after doing it one way 3 times last year. Maybe the change will be good and shake things up a bit!

I didn't do the first year - even though the finish is the same this year as it was the first year - but no doubt you may have heard horror stories of the first years bike course. Talk about shaking things up....more turns than a square dance! I just hope for a less windy day, I don't care if it's way hot, a no windy day would be just .
