I'm not a good husband for the most part. I have a different kind of personality and there are just things about me that make it tough on DW. Sometimes I wonder why she puts up with it all, but she seems to love me so I just count myself lucky and move on.

As some of you know, we had a bit of a situation brewing around the Kenny Chesney concert coming to Tulsa in September. We worked it out so I wouldn't have to go. Her mom and sister are going to come down from Alaska for a week or two to visit and time it so they can all go to the concert. This had DW very excited and I think its an even better solution then if I'd told her I'd go with her.

Tickets went on sale Saturday at 10 am. DW hopped out of bed at 9:45 and headed for the computer. OakDawg was half asleep and stayed such...I don't do weekend mornings. Anyway, time passed and DW returned to the bedroom. She crawled into bed and I thought she was going back to sleep. Like I said, I was half asleep so I wasn't fully aware of what was going on. I rolled over, as it was about time to start waking up, and reached over for DW. I found her completely under the blankets, head and all...not too uncommon, but a little off. She wasn't responding at all to me. I poked her...nothing. I tickled her ear...nothing. Hmmm...something is wrong. Thats when I heard the nose snuffling. Uh oh.

She is crying.

So I ask whats wrong...I have to ask a couple of times before she responds.

Turns out she couldn't get the website to give her reasonable tickets so she called the ticket office and all they had left by that time was all the way at the far end of the arena in the upper deck. Now, I'm sure these wouldn't be bad seats as the arenas not THAT big. She even said, "I don't know why I'm upset, but I am". DW is pretty laid back, but I could tell she had been pretty excited for this event and now all of that was ruined.

I thought about it for a minute and decided to see what I could do about the situation. I got up and headed for my computer. I tracked down a ticket agent (scalper) and got her the seats she had been hoping for when we looked at the seating chart on friday night. It cost me a good chunk and we now have 4 extra tickets (the 3 DW bought and 1 extra good seat because they wouldn't let me snag just 3), but my triumphant return to the bedroom to tell my still crying DW that she could stop being upset because I got her tickets on the lower level in her desired section was worth it.

She is now super excited again. I am Super Husband!
