DH has come around!! I'm bidding on a Kurt on ebay this evening! It is basically an open box item, so I'm hoping to get it a little cheaper than a new one. Right now, it is REALLY cheap, but that will change by this evening. Cross your fingers that I get it!!

Use one of the auction snipers to get the best deal. I've used <a href="http://www.ezsniper.com/" target="_blank">EZsniper</a> successfully many times. Trying to get bids in manually at the last second is a sure way to lose.

I ordered one last week from Bike Nashbar. They were having a sale and I had a 10% coupon. I got the Nashbar Fluid Wireless one. With the sale and the coupon it wasn't too much more than the returned one I missed out on. I made room in the basement this weekend. I am excited. There's an 8-week bike plan in one of my old Tri Mags that looks perfect for taking me to outdoor season. The workouts I'd compare to running long intervals. To me that seems appropriate for the trainer.

Thanks for all the tips. The price just went over what I'd like to pay, so I won't be bidding on that one, but there are a bunch. I know how to work ebay. My BIL bought his BMW on ebay. He got a nasty e-mail from someone who was trying to bid saying it wasn't fair that he had bid at the last minute, yadda, yadda. What? They obviously haven't done ebay!<br><br>
I may end up just getting it at REI with my 20% coupon. I haven't looked into the shipping, though, they may have it for the same price in the store. It would be only $150. I'd really like to get it down a bit more, but I may not be able to. I'm trying to be patient, but I also want my trainer!!!

That's crazy - there are sites out there (bidslammerr?) that help you do just that - wait until the very last second and throw your bid in. Can be frustrating when you're outbid at the last minute, but that's how auctions can work!
