Oh gees - I went through all this and made it nice and pretty and then realized I was only previewing my post, and that I didn't actually post it.<br><br>
I'll try to sound super excited again this time around!<br><br>
Anyways, I just found out I'm on the cover of "Inside Texas Running" magazine. The picture is from my 50k I ran in December where I pr'd big time (-1:15) in record high temps.<br><br>
When someone told me about it, my first response was "$hit, I didn't have a shirt on that day!#%$%?"<br><br>

This is pretty exciting and came at a great time. It has been a pretty bad week, but I'm starting to get super excited about the Houston Marathon next weekend. I'm going to kick its a$$!!!

Any pics that I ever get make me look half dead! Seriously...my eyes look closed, I look like a fish. Crap! If I knew a pic was being snapped, I'd try to "brighten up" a bit.<br><br>
You look awesome! You look like you're having fun and don't hurt and......most importantly, you don't look hot from the weather. Not fair not fair not fair!<br><br>

I think I had to have been laughing at something. Every time I try to smile I look like a total dork. I also don't remember the photographer being there. I do know that was taken somewhere after mile 27 or so because of the people in the pic, which makes it even weirder that I'm actually smiling and actually running!

It sure is! It makes for great conversation - especially in races like that (lots of out and backs to see people). I was shocked how many people there had done it. I guess ironmen like ultras as well, which would make sense.

Yeah, I liked that number. I'm weird with #s. My Houston Marathon number is going to be 5050. I like it, but I'm still trying to find deeper meaning for it!<br><br>
My first thought was 50/50 chance I'll meet my goal, but that isn't good. So then I said 50+50=100% chance I'll meet my goal.
