<p>He's doing fine in his summer job, but it is a very detailed, very mind-numbing task that they've set before him. He's got to wade through tens of thousands of agreements and sort out the pertinent ones, scan them, comment on them and then move on. </p>

<p>He found an interesting one from 1908 yesterday, half a page signed by the VP of the company at that time leasing a 5'x5' plot outside one of our yards to a Mr. Watkins so that he could sell apples and candies to the workers. 1$ a year. </p>

<p>His question "Why don't big companies have company historians?" We used to, but cut the job a decade or so ago. Pity.</p>

<p>But he got his first cheque and he's gaining some appreciation for the fact that a great deal of work is mind-numbing. Yes. Go back to school...</p>
