[Horrible Peanut]

<p>I bought an off lease 2007 Matrix last week and I needed a tonneau- a security shade that shielded the view of the contents of the rear cargo space from people walking by the car- simply because I'll throw my laptop bag in the back when I park downtown.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Anyways- the car I bought last week didn't have one, so I emailed my sales guy and asked him about where he thought I could get one. He checked with his parts department and they said the replacement was $500. He just about slapped them on my behalf.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>So- he went to another Matrix swiped a tonneau and told me to come pick it up.</p>
<p>I in return gave him a $20 bottle of red wine as a way to say thank you.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I'd say I got a pretty good deal- and I'd say with only confidence I'm going to send all my friends who are car shopping his way.</p>

<p>I guess not all car salesmen are slimey.</p>

<p>....& somewhere out there, some guy is gonna be complaining that the same place lost his tonneau cover & he's gotta wait 6 weeks for a new one.</p>

<br><br><p>He'll probably stick the tonneau-less car with a guy who tried to squeeze him for every penny. I went in trying to be fair and they got a good deal that made them happy- I got a good deal that made me happy. Everyone won.</p>
