<p>..... as you can tell, I'm trying to rev myself up ... this next one makes me smile because it's how I feel on a Long Run or ultra race and something not so fun is going on (like 90+F heat, a huge hill(s), rainstorms) I just smile to myself and enjoy the challenge knowing I CAN do it and don't really mind and that everybody else has to do it too and they may have a craptastic attitude about it and lose merely due to their outlook, not their skill ...</p>

I just need to be able to apply this outlook to my real life and not let things get me down ... why do I have basically no fear to attempt physical feats and challenges and embrace them as fun even when they hurt like hell and require inordinate amounts of training/time but balk at the thought of possible failure/rejection in other areas of life? I'm such a chickenshit! </p>
