I am half way bundled up and just put on my old running shoes, which Gus correctly interprets as 'we're going for one of those things outside!", and he is now circling me and whining, trying to herd me towards the door.

Dork. So yah. I'm taking advantage of the 30° heat wave and taking the beastie for a few mile walk.

I'm up and headed towards the the hamster wheel. It's supposed to be warmer here and I'd love to run outside, but better wait until tmw--dizzy and outside probably don't work knowing my history. :). Battlestar Galactica! Yeah, baby!

Ran 3 last night pretty well, so we'll see. :)

Anyone racing for Christmas? I'll be in a place where there aren't any races that day. I will run no matter what, though...even just for 1-2 because it's tradition.

From GatorBob last night: (sorry, I don't know how to really quote from one thread to another)

Solar, that's a pretty good run for "under the weather".

Thanks. It wasn't pretty, and I'm still coughing up a storm, but my body aches are gone and my lungs are a bit clearer, so I got them done. Oh, and I've been antsy.

Half day here and then I'm headed to pick up Roxie with my dad. Can't wait. He's so excited -- it's like a little bit of weight has been lifted off him -- that it makes me excited for him and for Christmas. Can't ask for a better present.

Go to the other thread and click "Quote" for the message you want. You get the new Reply window. In that window, highlight the text you want to quote, and Copy it to memory. Then go to today's thread, go into the Reply box and Paste in the text from yesterday.

Actually, maybe Multi Quote works. I've never tried that. Maybe that would be even easier...

No run for me. I am scheduled for a rest day, but was contemplating getting up and going since the roads are much clearer and the temps are managable. But I did not get home from the funeral until 10:30 last night and it took me a while to get to bed/sleep. Decided I'd rather sleep in than get in a short recovery run on only a few hours of sleep.

Christmas celebration #1 is tonight. The best part: we are ordering Chinese so I don't have to cook! :)

2.7 miles for me yesterday. not much running these days due to AK's lack of sleep at night - any extra time i have is spent napping so i'll take what i can get.

boston is completely out of the picture for me.. but the danbury 1/2 is now my goal. i think maria, bob, and tim are also looking into running it so i need to train enough to at least finish it. hah.

Hi all - Kris and I may get in some running together today. Maybe 5Ks worth or so depending on things. Trying to stay relatively sane on the holiday food excesses but its not terribly easy

Hello!

10 miles done, felt good. I was all dog distracted today, I saw Bentley's wife, Sophie (a St. Bernard that lives on the beach) and then about a mile later saw a little Aussie pup .

Are you looking for strengthening type power yoga or stretching type hatha yoga? I like Rodney Yee as an instructor for yoga workouts but I haven't done any of his power yoga workouts. I have done Bryan Kest's Power Yoga I and the P90X Power Yoga workouts, both of which I liked. The P90X one is 90 minutes long though.

I was going to ask you how the rocks in your head were treating you! Sounds like it's better?

I ended up not running on my lunch hour yesterday but I did get to go right after work. I thought my sis and her family were going to be here about 6, but really, I 've known her this long I should have known better. Thay arrived after 8. I'm going to the gym on my lunch hour today but not sure about running. The Twingey Shin is acting up a little bit. I might go lift weights, maybe try out an elliptical machine or stair stepper for a change of pace.

No races for Christmas but Seester Goon brought her running duds so we can go for a couple of GoonSquad runs while she's here. Unless the snow that's due to start tonight prohibits us. Yes, that's right, you heard me. We're supposed to get another 5-6 inches. I have no place to put any more snow! Seriously! It's redonkluous.

I am signed up for a Resolution Run on New Years Day. The jacket this year is orange!! I LOVE orange!! yippee!

Maybe I should register for that... Is CoachT gonna be there? I can't remember what all is on his Spring schedule...

The last couple years, I ran a 5k on New Years Day in the next town over from me. But it looks like this year I'll be in CT for New Years, so I guess that race it out. Maybe I need to find one in CT...

I also recommend the Rodney Yee. I have the power yoga dvds and they are good. You can do as little or as much as you like since they are broken into segments.

Happy Birthday PChris!

It's also Mrs. Duckgeek's birthday today. I was late to work today because I made pancakes (buttermilk, from scratch - with blueberries or bananas) for the family.
