I find that I am energized more than normal when I have this false expectations set it my head, but when I get out there and slip into that zone, a place with no expectations, things are far better and more enjoyable than I at first thought. And this feedback with energy.

With this recent spate of rain, I've now had 4 or 5 straight runs (I did doubles on Tuesday and Thursday) in the rain. It's a mindset. If you think it'll suck, it will suck. If you see it as just another day, it will be just another run.

Even though I get tired of running in the rain from October to June, I do generally run faster when wet. Not on purpose or anything, I think my body just doesn't have to spend so much energy cooling off.
