I am going for a confernce for all the users of our dispatch system. One of the instructors is a runner and put the idea of running in my head a few years ago. So i will have to make sure i let her know i am running and see if maybe we can't get out in the early morning for a run.

Running up and down the Strip in early morning was one of my most memorable runs. Not necessarily on the greatest hits list, but definitely memorable. Just really different, you know? You gotta try it. You won't be alone, there were quite a few runners out there with me.

Whatever you do, don't try to run behind the casinos - what a freakin' mess!!! I got sooo lost.

That was my first ever view of Las Vegas coming from the airport on the shuttle bus. DW and I looked at each other and said, "what have we done?" Then we went out the front of the hotel onto the strip. The smiles were returned to our faces then.

If you get a car and some time during the day, go for a drive out to Red Rock Canyon. You could do some trail running or climbing.
http://www.americansouthwest.net/nev...anyon/nca.html

For a shorter getaway, go run in the Red Rock Canyon, about 15 minutes from the Strip. It's where Andre Agassi used to run every day at the time when he was one of the oldest and at the same time one of the fittest pro tennis players.

The one time I was in Vegas I never made it out of bed early enough to run. Too much late night fun so to speak...
