I was going to buy an '07 Kurt Kinetic Road Machine (new) on Amazon for $250, but there was an '08 on ebay with an OBO, so I bid $250 on it, and it was accepted!! I should have started lower!! I tried a higher price on another one, and it was declined, though. I'm still happy. It had free shipping and comes with a spinerval DVD with 3 30 minute workouts on it. It is cheaper than I could have gotten it at REI with my 20% off coupon (plus I would have had to pay tax there). I saved $59 off the buy it now price, and $70 off retail. I have to wait a few days to pay for it, though, because I don't use PayPal, so I had to add funds. I never had to do that when using PayPal in the past, but oh well.

I'll pick up the riser at REI for $19. DH needs new hiking boots, so he can use the 20% coupon. In fact, we both have memberships, so we actually get 2 coupons! Score!!!

By the way, the vendor I bought from has 99 of these trainers, so if anyone else wants to get one for a good deal, bid on one. I can't wait to get mine!

Awesome! It's probably the same spinerval dvd that came with mine - the timesaver one. I didn't think the 30 minute workouts were going to be that difficult when I got them, but they're a good challenge! Definitely had me hooked on the spinerval thing and I've since accumulated about 6 of them

NICE. I bought mine of ebay too last year. LOVE my Road Machine and LOVE the DVD's that came with it. Been getting all his DVD's at the library and burning them onto my computer then putting them on my video IPOD. It works great.

I did the piece of wood thing all last year for my front tire. It worked OK, but sometimes when I was working really hard on the training, standing up, etc etc, it would slip at times. DH got me me the real tire holder for Christmas this year and I am glad I have it so I don't worry about the tire slipping anymore.

I think the Timesaver DVD is standard with the KK. It's a fun DVD.

Congrats, Kelli! That sounds like a great deal.

I got a box from Nashbar today and got all excited thinking it was my new bike trainer. It was just the riser with a note in it saying the mat and the trainer were coming in a separate box.

Oh, I have a great phone book I can use! We get two sets, but only one set is the REAL set. The other one stinks. I was just about to recycle it, but now I can use it as a riser (if it isn't too tall)

Yeah, I thought of that, of course!

What a tease! Hopefully it will come Monday. I won't even be paying for mine until probably Friday or Saturday, so it will be a couple weeks before I get it.
