<p>For those of you on FB, the news that I am NOT supergirl is not new.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Jeesh!  But, can I just say that this has been are really unhappy training cycle for the Marine Corps Marathon.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>First, major tenditis in my knee.........2 solid weeks OUT, plus a slow ramping back up.</p>
<p>Second, Persistent foot issues with blisters</p>
<p>Now..... One giant SPLAT in the middle of a lane on a street to tear up my left knee, slightly bang up my right knee, and hyper extend my left big toe.</p>

<p>I.</p>
<p>DO.</p>
<p>NOT.</p>
<p>CARE.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I am making it to that starting line.  Limping if I have to...but I'm making it.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>So....anyway......</p>
<p> </p>
<p>My road rash is healing pretty well, and I was able to run this morning relatively easily. </p>
<p>I regularly freeze myself morning and night, just to be safe.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Those of you who are spiritual, though.....please be praying on Sunday.  I'm pretty sure that I'll need the support.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Weather obsession indicates that the weather is trending cooler (good for me, as I MELT in heat), but there's a super small chance that there will be rain.  Yeah, that will be "super awesome" <-- not so much.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I'm going to try to figure out how to get my updates to post onto my FB page too.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Now, to go back to laundry, list-making, and pre-packing as much as possible.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>You can all go back to your regularly scheduled programming at this time.</p>

<p>Adrenaline, especially the variety of race day Adrenaline, smooths over many physical ailments. I, for one, know this so well that, honestly, when I'm now nursing something or not feeling it, I ignore it all with the knowledge that it'll all be mute by the time I hit the starting line.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>In any event, there is nothing you can do, so might as well go with the flow. Let go that which you cannot control.</p>

<p>It's definitely been a roller coaster.</p>

<p>I got the go ahead from the AT/PT guys I've been seeing to run.  They also gave Rabbit advice on how to tape if I need it.</p>
<p>Mostly, they just shook their heads and said that I should learn to pick up my feet better.  lol</p>

<p>Rabbit was a bit charged up last night, though.  I've been telling her about the pledged miles for IM races, and she all of a sudden lit into me about,....</p>
<p>"And just Where The Heck" have all your online friends been?  Why haven't they been taking the hits for us like they're supposed too?????"  lol </p>
<p>She said that when the time comes to bank miles and workouts for people, she'll belly up to the bar and give her share......so she supposes that someone else needs to take the race day hits for us.  :)</p>

<p>I explained that that's special for IM races and she just shook her head....."well, it sure feels like an IM prep period with the rate we've been going."  lol</p>

<p>Soooooooooo anyway.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Let's just say that for the IMFL folks, rabbit and and I have given our part to the "disaster pot".</p>
