People die that you only know on radio and TV and pause a moment for reflection but they don't really impact your thoughts too much.

Today the sidekick and engineer of Neal Boortz' talk show collapsed and died at his home. He was only 43. I used to love listening to him on the radio. He was a class act, could talk both sides of an issue, keeping not only calm but a sense of humor. So different from Neal Boortz. His talk show, "The Royal Treatment" lasted only a few years and I hated when it went off the air. He also did stand up comedian routines.

So, to repeat one of Royal's favorite lines on the talk show after speaking to someone, "just damn".

RIP Royal. Heaven will be rolling in laughter tonight.
