10 miles this morning. It was the best run I've had in a week and went surprisingly well after yesterday's struggle. Carried Heme with me for a couple miles this morning.

Hi TW! That's wonderful news!!!

It's a beautiful bright sunny day here in TO..... stark contrast to last night's stormy weather. We were under a tornado watch for most of the evening and had the pooter and the TV off for safety sake. DH and I sat on the porch watching the light show and the rain come down for well over an hour. Several tornados were reported south and west of us, but thankfully none did anywhere the kind of damage that hit Goderich earlier in the week. A twister hit the main town square....formerly one of the prettiest in the province..... and just tore everything apart. 1 man was killed and new reports say that most of the historic buildings around the square are beyond fixing and will have to be torn down.

Thanks for all the kind thoughts yesterday... I hate to whine.... but this hasn't been an isolated incident... just the worst so far. And yea, HF, I agree this is mostly mental and not a whole lot to do with the running either. Too much carp going on in life these days, I guess. So far the running's been a good escape, but I think I need some concentrated alone time to figure out a few things. I'll probably ditch today's run, go to the gym for some strength stuff and see if I can get a good solo LR in on Saturday. Maybe I'll see if I can find some new trails to try out.

I buy Spenco metatarsal pads at a home healthcare store. I use a thin gel pad on my left foot, and am pretty much at the point where I may ditch that one, but the foot with the neuroma gets the thicker foam pad.

HF, I love that top! I've been going for the longer ones recently, as with the water bottle belt on, I like to keep that roll of fat that sticks out below the belt covered

TTFN....gotta fly!
