G'morning, all!

Too icy to run out of doors this morning, so I took my workout to the gym. I warmed up and stretched, then did a nice, easy 5.61 miles in 50:00 minutes (8:54 min/mile pace). Followed it up with 2x10 pushups, and some stretching.

Good morning, Robin! Greetings to the rest of yas.

Happy foot news, Labduck!

I have been on the edge between injury and healing for the past 2-3 weeks. I think I've crossed the line again, and I need some time off (right ankle). Off to do my rehab exercises!

I like what it says where it describes the Masters Club: "We're old and we know everything ...". It's nice to see someone finally recognizing what I've always known!

The last good, hard workout for a goal race is typically 10 days out from it. Today was it for me - 10 days out in front of the Miami HM. 9 miles altogether with the 5 in the middle at tempo. The 5 tempo miles were run at 7:55, 7:47, 7:39, 7:33, and 7:43 min/mile pace.

I was hanging on there at the end, but got through it. The last 2 cool down miles felt super slow, but ended up being at MP.

I don't post here much - usually I'm on RA. But Sans wanted to pinch me the other day and that's a definite motivator in my book.

I haven't bagged it yet, but once I accept the reality of my condition, I will. DW and I will still enjoy a trip to St George without the kids.

19F and no wind, so a pleasant morning for a run, especially with the skies starting to lighten up noticeably by 7AM now. I only went 3.9 miles due to delays in getting going this morning: everything from a dropped orange that vanished in my garage to my MP3 player with a corrupted file directory that locked it up.

I hope the rest of you have better luck today.

Your Hug for resting today is in the mail perchcreek.

I felt so good and all loosened up this morning (it must have been the yoga class last night) so I I nailed my tempo run for the first time in a long time. 4 miles at tempo with a one mile W/u. 5 total miles.

How is the tapering madness coming along Ilene, Opie and Eriak?. Is anybody else doing Carlsbad?

Good Morning Kicksters!,

Bad news mill. Breager1 - nice to hear from you. Good luck in the HM. I'm still down with a nasty cold, but after 2 days of idleness I had to do something. So an easy 4 miles on the TM - out of the 18F temps. The run felt good, the after-effects - not so much. I sooo look forward to when my posts don't sound so whiny. I'm reallly not like this!!!... Really!

Good runs all!
I LOVE the St George area. I ran my first and last marathons there (1991 and 1996) and liked it so much I ended up moving there for a year and a half. Ends up I couldn't find good employment there and ended up moving out here.

Mike - isn't there something in the forum description that entitles us to whine here?

Mari - nice tempo .... yoga is sooo great!

tomwhite - every time I see that term "relief pharmacist" I picture a guy down in the bullpen wearing a white coat .... I've a small mind

mill - rats!

perch, broger, Robin, Peter, hally .... good running/resting

11 fog free miles for me today. Yesterday I could barely find my way home. The temp was the same today as yesterday but it felt far more pleasant. That fog cuts right through you.

g'day
Good morning Kicksters! Roch I like the bike, but it might get a little pricy putting yaktrax on all those shoes. Thanks for starting robin. Booger, great to see you post here today.

St. George is a great area, beutiful small city with great access to everything, but as you say ken you need money to live there. The scenery is spectacular and the weather is always nice, but a bit hot during the summer. I did the St. George Marathon once and the race is probably a must do, probably one of the most scenic marathons. I am going to get on the lottery for this years marathon. Mike have a nice trip down there and hopefully that ankle will heal.

It's nice to be living in the banana belt of Montana, it's already warmed up to 6 degrees but a cold front may be moving in this weekend. The sun is shining and no wind so it should be good for a nice a run this morning.

Wonderful to have SKIP drop in with those beautiful pics. Don't be a stranger!
Speaking of which, bonger's trying mightily to sully my reputation. I think you have me confused with the solar pincher. Glad you enjoyed it tho'!
Lab, that's such great news!
millbot, that isn't.
perchcreek, that was quite the run yesterday in two states!
Pro, you curmudgeon, are you not running? What's up?
Hally, drop for 20!!!
tomwhite, get out there!
lyndenrunner, I think it's unlikely I'll run Portland again this year, much as I'd like to help you to a BQ. Right now I have Sacramento in my little head, but it's too early to be definite.

Run planned for a bit later this morning. Directly followed by a run in the pool. Should be interesting.

Enjoy the day!

Heh Sans, the guys at work didn't believe I could do them so I just did 20 before I read this. None of them would even give me 5
