Happy birthday Porty!

Zoe had the itchies in the middle of the night again last night. It is really weird, nothing has changed, except she has been taking the antibiotics for 8 days (2 more days left) but she takes them in the PM and AM and only had the hives in the middle of the night. They were gone by morning. But i slept like crap. oh well.

Son3 went through a month or so where he'd break out in hives. Not just a bump here and there. We're talking full body. Super scary. Took him to the doctor but we never did figure out what caused it. No changes in anything--diet, soap, laundry, etc. Weird.

NEED to get moving here. I had a couple emails I needed to send out early this morning. I'm still wasting time surfing.

Turns out Zoe is allergic to penicillin. :( sigh. but now we know. I hope since we stopped it today, she is ok tonight. Poor thing! I hate giving her medicine and DH and I actually fought over giving it to her, and I told him we had to, which she needed, but i still feel bad.

I still feel really foggy from my migraine Monday. Getting slowly better, but foggy headed and not much appetite (i am ok with the latter).

Meri, we found out that one of the obys was allergic to penicillin only after he'd finished his course - he broke out in hives the day after. It may well be that she continues to have a reaction. Do you have Benadryl on hand?

Oh wow, meri.
Trying to do what's right...yet wrong....how frustrating!

I didn't know she was on meds
Yup, our youngest is allergic to sulfa, which we discover with a massive breakout of hives and rashes.
Poor kids.

We do have benedryl, she refused to take it. If it was severe, however, i would of course force it on her!! LOL. Yep, the hives did not come until day 6 or 7, but she did complain of being itchy for several days prior to that.

Medic Alert bracelet time. Docs said that the next time would be far more serious in oby's case, and it seems like Zoe's condition is similar.

There are some really cute medic alert bracelets for kids now, though she is pretty young for one that only has a velcro strap. I will try and find the company name. I am allergic to Penicillen, I have a girly bracelet that I bought at a jewellry store.
