5 this morning. Two miles in it hit me that the boys are really gone and I hyperventilated the rest of the way.

:sigh: It's not like I don't know they aren't here.

Anyway, fun stuff

Hugs to Kath. And cute shakers...

Hrmph. I aborted my run yesterday because my quad acted up again. So much for being healed. I'm starting to get a little worried becuase this has lingered for so long. I think I need to shut it down again for a little while...

are those stuffed olive salt and pepper shakers?

Kath, I LOVE the football helmet you added to the piggy!! I'm sure that is just computer fun with your normal piggies but I still love it. And (((hugs))) to you as well. Poor Gus and Jack, it is still hard to believe they are gone.

I don't know what a buckeye is but that's ok, I'll just keep thinking they are olives.

For being excited that today is the start of my fun weekend I'm actually really effing cranky too today. I just couldn't get going this morning, thankfully I packed last night.

Cute hair Bard!

Kath, Yeah, grief is like that... you know it intellectually, but then there are these moments that remind you viscerally that they are gone.

Greetings, all.

5M on the Tm last night. I may or may not get anything tonight, as I'm getting my hair re-highlighted and trimmed up a little. I did lube and clean up the TM though, and WOW, it's hard to believe that I, and I alone, can make that thing so nasty and gnarly. Yeech!

Bard- LOVE the new haircut! Very chic, indeed!

((( Kath ))) Sadly, sometimes those out-of-the-blue moments can hit you just as hard as the emotions felt after the initial loss. Try to remember that your boys were HAPPY, and much-loved beasties, and as corny as it sounds, they wouldn't want to see their momma be sad. They'd want you to run with enthusiasm, eat with gusto, and nap as your heart desires. They'd want you to just enjoy life's simple pleasures- just as they did every day with you! : )

Oh - follow up from yesterday: Is a cow's nose soft like a horse's nose?!

QodY (I think): Strange things in one's purse/pockets: I don't think my stuff is strange, (other than a spare pair of disposable contacts) but maybe a bit overkill. I have MANY individually wrapped wet-wipe sanitizers, and usually a couple of various types of gum/mints. I'm a nazi (don't be offended) when it comes to clean hands & fresh breath!!!

Texture-wise: is a cow's nose kind of rough like a dog's, then? :) (no idea why I feel I need to know this information, but I am curious!) Thanks!

I'm in a foggy funk too. October is way over planned for us, and it's making me resent the fun stuff, because I know it will get me further behind on the stuff that has to be done like laundry and meal prep. Hopefully I can get a good round of catch up done tonight and readjust my attitude!

Good morning all! I got out for a bridges run w/3 others and enjoyed another cooler morning and a lovely sunrise. This week I'm feeling so much more like my "normal" self and that includes the miles running; what a relief! Oh and we won our kickball game last night, UNDEFEATED!

Kris – LOVE your haircut!

Kath – I’m so sorry, the mind is a powerful thing where sometimes it leaks out reality and other times smacks us in the face w/it

Mindi – be cranky, let it out; pre-race relaxation starts immediately after that ;)

morning peeps.

Add me to sad and cranky crowd.

Kath, I'm so sorry. I completely understand...there have been more moments this week, with my dad in the hospital, that I've thought about talking to my mom and couldn't...it's awful.

Hence, sad and cranky.

I stayed at A's last night in RI, so long commute this morning. Made worse by an accident, but I got here in about 90 mins or so, which all things considered (not the least of which, is it's 50+ mi from work), that wasn't too bad.

Kris, LOVE the hair. I'm letting mine grow but it really does look better shorter and I know it. Seeing your cute 'do reinforced it.

I know I have more to say but I'm having a brain fart.

John's on Bleeker is the kind that has sauce OVER the cheese, right? I've been there.
