Morning, Fidat!

Oof. It's been a busy few days. I switched stuff around this week and got my "speed" workout done on Monday when it was 79*! after work. 7.5 miles of a progression run. Got my legs/body a taste of what it'll be like to run in the heat this weekend.

Yesterday was a short swim -- 1000yds, but I pushed the pace the whole time --- and then 90 mins of hot yoga. I need to get my bike tuned up -- it's gonna be time to get it off the trainer and onto the roads soon .

Today will be an easy run; somewhere around 5 miles, probably.

Ran last night before supper instead of my usual morning run. And so I didn't feel like running again this morning, which means I'll run again before supper today. At least when I run in the evenings when DH is on backshift I can go for longer than 5k.

Good morning all. I completed 40 minutes on the stationary bike before work. So far this month I am 6 for 6! I can't remember the last time I did not miss a workout for 6 consecutive days. But my goal is 30 for 30 in April!!!!

Yay for you morning workouters!!

Not 100% sure about the Grand Rapids marathon - it falls on my Mom's birthday weekend. But we don't always celebrate ON birthday weekends anymore so it's still a possibility. It was probably the same case with Mom's birthday weekend when Seester Goon and I ran it a few years ago. I'll discuss with the family this weekend.

My walk in to work this morning was sooo nice, sunny and cool, I really wished I were running instead. Instead, I'll hope the weather is still just as nice after work when I get my run in. woo hoo!

Lora - when do you leave for Florida? Are you staying down there for longer too, or just racing then leaving?

Nope, it's tomorrow. She's super nervous about it. I'm nervous for her!

I got 10 miles done at 4:30 this morning. Love love love getting in good workouts before the birds are even awake! Also got a comment from a neighbor at the coffee shop this morning, "Was that you running laps in the neighborhood before 6 this morning?" They all think I'm nuts.

morning

I did the speedwork yesterday with mixed results.

2 miles at interval - I didn't plan well and ended up running a) into the wind, b) through a lot of walkers c) over some snow/slush sections. Still my pace should have been better. 813 and 817

1 mile at faster than interval - better this time. I ran up on the bike lane (against traffic) and out of the wind. 758 pace - I was a little lower than that until a quarter of a mile left and then, well it started to suck a lot :)

400 m at hard but controlled. I felt super strong during this bit - 745 pace.

general aerobic miles today - 5-7

It is beautiful out!

I ended up doing a double yesterday so I decided to sleep in and give my legs a little more rest before I throw down some intervals this afternoon. It was a good decision because it was storming this morning. I have slept like crap the last several nights and I hope that stops because I am really exhausted. Fingers crossed. The good news is that my legs are feeling wicked strong (they were wicked tired yesterday). :)

Hearing about all the sunshine in MN makes me think it is coming my way! :) (it is rainy, gray and windy here).

Morning all! I got out for 11 miles this morning, half with my bridge running crew and half solo coming back home. LOVE the morning run, has already made my day. Heading to the yoga studio tonight for some much needed, way overdue stretching and strengthening.

Yay Missy! It is so great to see you running and happy! :)

I just did 8 miles with 5 x 600m; 90 sec recoveries. And it kicked my arse. Gorgeous spring weather. But painful intervals.
