Good morning!

I have a few minutes to check in while my nieces are still sleeping. I'm going to get them up shortly, though, because their sleep schedules are messed up enough as it is with the time change.

I'm still in TX, we are in Temple until tomorrow a.m. and then will start the drive home. On Sunday, we were in Ft. Worth and had Easter dinner at my BIL's brother's house. Saw my 1st ever Rhodesian Ridgebacks in person, didn't know they bayed like a hound. They have 4 dogs: 2 ridgebacks, a lab, and a teeny little sheltie who was by far the calmest of the group. My nieces and nephew are not used to dogs, so it took them awhile to stop being scared.

Then on Monday we went to the Great Wolf Lodge and stayed til yesterday. I hadn't been on waterslides since I was 10, that was fun. Well, except for the part when I stepped on some kid's poop in the wave pool. ukeright: I told one of the staff, who got everyone out of the pool and it was shut down the rest of the day. The kiddie pool had already been shut down for the same reason.

My BIL had to report back to duty late last night but is being given one more night tonight. So tonight I'll have all 4 kids in the room with me again. On our way home, we will stop in Mansfield, MO to see the Laura Ingalls Wilder home. I've never been there, but my sister and I loved those books and the TV show as girls. That was our #1 story for make-believe. Her oldest DD is big into the books now.

(((hugs for dads and 30's and everyone who needs them)))

Tattoos/piercings- Any age for ear piercing and 18 for anything else. My other BIL used to do both piercings and tats and would see parents come in and refuse to allow their 14 year old to get a navel or eyebrow piercing but would allow them to get a tattoo.

Fat Tire- not bad at all. It was a little different than I expected, but it grew on me. I liked it better when I had the 2nd bottle. I still have 4 bottles left, which I'll be taking back to Ohio if I don't get the chance to buy any more on this trip. I want my other BIL to try it.
