310xt and I love it. I don't religiously follow HR zones. Right now, I'm following a plan that has be running at certain speeds, but I do pay attention to HR to see how my plan is affecting me.

Garmin 305 for anything outside. I also have a Polar FT4 for indoor use. However, my Polar can get way off sometimes. I have looked down while teaching a spin class and my monitor is frozen on 220 bmp. I know I am working hard...but no way. Once I adjust the strap my HR drops. I am thinking the FT7 would have been a better investment for trainer workouts, etc.

I don't use the numbers, so I don't bother spending money on it. I have a full bore GPS/HR for the bike. It's a nice Garmin. Plots routes and HR's, all down-loadable, but I found that I never look at the numbers. I know where I need to be in order to last a long time, and I know where I need to be when going all-out, even for intervals and racing and such. And so I stick with it. I really enjoy getting to know my body and how it performs so well that I can, like a fighter pilot at controls, fly this sucker under a bridge and around a tall building at mach speed. Or so I feel.

I have a FR 305 that I use for almost every run. I have about six HR straps laying around the house, another one at work. I have footpods on my shoes at home and at work, since the half of my training that occurs at work is on the TM. I used to have the garmin bike sensor but I stopped using it since I got a powertap. I'm on the waiting list for the new FR 910XT. I have my own version of WKO+ that I download the data to and I share data with my coach via TrainingPeaks.com.

I have gotten better over the past couple of years of listening to my body, but I still like to have the data. Not been playing with it as much lately, but I still go back from time to time. I do use my HR, speed and power zones for training but I race mostly by feel. I still wear the sensors during races so I can go back after the fact and analyze.
